Class Overview
Gold Coast International (I.T.F.) Advanced Taekwondo 3rd Gup (blue belt red stripe) to 5th Degree Black Belt is for the Taekwondo student that has gained the minimum rank of 3rd Gup. These classes are only for advanced students of International (I.T.F.) Taekwondo and advanced colored belt and Black Belt striking and kicking techniques, self defence, patterns, pressure points take down, throws, submissions and weapons are taught. An increased level of physical and mental fitness is required at this level.
A scientific understanding of techniques needs to be clearly understood by a student at this level. Many chokes, joint locks, submissions, self defence, high level striking, kicking combinations, pressure points and weapons are taught and used in these classes, therefore a good grounding and knowledge is essential before starting this class.
Gold Coast International (I.T.F.) Advanced Taekwondo classes all students are issued with a training manual for the practical and theory criteria, enabling the student to clearly understand their grading requirements.
Gold Coast International (I.T.F.) Advanced Taekwondo coloured belt students have the opportunity to grade every three months. Black belt gradings are held twice per year and the black belt candidates need to fulfil the extra grading requirements including fitness tests and community service, before sitting for any Black Belt Degree gradings. Gradings are held on premise at Baekjul Taekwondo Headquarters in (Southport) Gold Coast, Queensland. (Baekjul Black Belt Academy).
Gold Coast International (I.T.F.) Advanced Taekwondo students also have the advantage of training with the (I.T.F.) Taekwondo Black Belts in the mixed level classes which are run 2 days per week, in addition to the gold coast advanced Taekwondo classes.
All Gold Coast Baekjul international (I.T.F.) black belt taekwondo students are also encouraged to attend the black belt camps held twice a year and the black belt seminars also held twice a year. In addition to the camps and seminars black belt classes are held one time month at Baekjul (I.T.F.) taekwondo headquarters in (Southport ) Gold Coast, Queensland. (Baekjul Black Belt Academy).
Gold Coast International (I.T.F) Taekwondo students have the opportunity to compete in local, State, National and International tournaments if they wish. There are no expectations of students to compete as all students have unique goals. Although extra classes in free sparring, patterns and power breaking are scheduled for those students whom wish to embrace the competitive side of (I.T.F.) Taekwondo.
